CCBC to offer Aviation Program for High School Students
CCBCs Aviation program has recognized the need for pilots and air traffic controllers in our society. Globally, we need 6,000 pilots and only 3,000 are being trained and hired. CCBC wants to expand their Aviation program to “Establish and maintain a culture of aviation and excellence by providing the opportunity for students to pursue their aspiration within the aerospace industry!”
Bill Pinter is the new Director of Aviation at CCBC and has created the Aviation Academy for Students grades 10-12. Students who have an interest and passion for flying as a future career goal may want to consider this program. The program would be considered Dual Enrollment; however, students would need to take 2 courses at a time for each semester.
There will be a meeting on December 4th at 1:30 in the High School Guidance office to discuss the program in more details with the director, Mr. Pinter. Parents and students are invited to attend to get more information.
